Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021 as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she will cover everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. During that time she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the pandemic of coronavirus. She traveled extensively with both the President and Vice-President included an official trip to Afghanistan, which she took along with Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up in local TV news stations which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in creating documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and her three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
